
Our cultivation land has 33,00 ha. distributed in 15 states which, according to the grape we wish to obtain for the manufacture of our wines, are chosen attending to its altitude, ground, orientation and humidity properties. That’s why we choose Garnacha, Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties, joining together tradition and modernity with always rising values in a worldwide range of wine varieties, thanks to its elegance and distinction in the outcomes.
We must insist in the fact that Fitero is located in the perfect climate strip from the best Spanish, French and Italian Denominations.
Fitero is located between 400 m. and 500 m. above sea level, ground is decisive, not too deep and with a good drainage. The great amount of solar rays makes ripen one of its great qualities. Cold and strong wind from the north (known as “Cierzo”) is common in this lands and cleans up vineyards in a natural way. It rains around 400 l. a year, above all in winter months, and that’s why we select the graft-carry resistant to drought periods.

TEMPRANILLO Short vegetative cycle. Prone to illness. Needs fresh ground because of its sensitiveness to drought. Small grain grape, fruity and aromatic. Early maturation. Wines with lot of colour and well ageing in barrels. It’s use in “coupage” with sharper wines. |

CABERNET SAUVIGNON Optimum in chipping grounds and well drained. Late maturation. Small grain grape, black skin, thick and hard, with a spiced and wild fruits taste. Wines with a great body, complex and a little bit astringent. Is usually use for aging wines together with other varieties. |
